That strikes me as a little strange since Discordianism isn't a post apocalyptic kind of philosophy. It lacks the necessary level of nihilistic apathy. Can I take it from said arm born symbol that you've read the Principia Discordia and possibly the Illuminatus! trilogy? Fnord.
I dunno, the post-apocalyptic pre-enactors do attract a certain kind of person, it makes sense to me that there would be more Discordians here than in any subcultures. You don't think there is nihilistic apathy in the apocalypse? But it's a lawless, chaotic wasteland! You should come out to www.wastelandweekend.com and see
Indeed, I have read them both - Illuminatus was first, about 6-7 years ago, and was very instrumental in the path I have chosen. Hail Eris.
(Actually, I just finished a costume for an Eris shoot, soon...)
There's plenty of nihilistic apathy in the apocalypse. I feel, however, that with the exception of the Curse of Greyface, Discordianism is a rather upbeat philosophy. That puts it out of sync with the lawlessness, chaos and savagery of your typical apocalyptic wasteland. Please post pics of the Eris shoot. I'd love to see them.
